Mini @ Maxey's Pt. Deuce

The 2nd Mini at Maxey's was just as good as the 1st, and the management is beginning to tolerate us!!!  <g>

Part "deuce" was accompanied by the "storekeeper" himself, and his wonderful wife, Jim and Donna Bartholomew.  Its always a pleasure, especially for myself, to meet another Brother for the first time.  As was in Jan., and in May, this mini, besides greatly enjoyable, was educational, too.

Maxey's is known for their breakfasts, especially their "SOS".  Some pepper, some hot sauce, and some great "war stories", made for an adventurous, epicurean adventure.

Their arrival to Tacoma was early, so the party of four from Everett, decided to tour the McChord Museum, and to "terrorize" the Clothing Sales personnel (it will never be the same in there again!!  LOL).  We joined up between 1000-1030 hrs, encircling the largest, and most prestigious table in the place (only place I can sit my fat ass <g>.... but don't fret, my diet is working).

Sometime by mid-afternoon, I brought in the book I made up, that includes the pics and slides of Thailand that I have; and of some "Thai" memorabilia.  Ironic, didn't get a chance to show Donna and JimBart the pics and slides.  Larry took digitals of some of the Thai literature I had (Thai Customs book, and a quick translation sheet that we rec'd upon arrival).  Oh yea, there were some of the "party-type" patches that he photographed, that you will have to see on the website; too risque to mention here for "family members" to read.  <BG>

I was most impressed in Donna, who has been, and still is, a very dedicated educator.  The students of VA are lucky to have a great educational system from what I heard, and I can see where if Donna was ever your teacher, it definitely would leave a most memorable and rewarding impression, in anyone's mind.

JimBart showed off the golf shirt that I wanted to buy (NO, not his), but said they hadn't been embroided yet.  They are nice, and have the TLCB logo over the pocket.  Yrral was donning the new t-shirt.... grey, w/ a large TLCB logo on the back, and a POW-MIA logo on the front.  Another nice choice to opt for, too.

Upon "boring" each other to death by mid-afternoon, we gave the management a break and we departed.  Lo and behold, so did the other customers, for the place was empty.  I guess they were jealous and felt bad that they couldn't partake in the fun!!!  LOL  Our TLCB Cards now adorn their "business card" wall, and hope it will pay off w/ new "inquiries" (as the veteran's and retirement community around here is quite extensive).

We said our good-byes in the parking lot in the blazing heat of the Tacoma sun (approx 68 F).  Larry finished his "paparazzi'n" w/ pics of the TLCB bumper sticker on my car.

I've said it before, for those who haven't had the enjoyment and privilege of a "mini" yet, please do so.  The bonding of the brotherhood strengthens, and comraderie is enhanced w/ great friendships.  I'll cease on this overwinded, bs'ing oratory for now.  To see the "real" results, view the pics at that "worthless website"!!!

Y'All Come Back Now, Y'Here

In Brotherhood,
