I was a 462x0 , weapons mechanic. When I arrived at Ubon in 69 I was
assigned to the Flare Shop. (It was on the flightline at the time.) We
serviced the F-4 flare pods (suu-42 , suu-24 ans suu-20's , if I remember
right. We loaded Spectre Suu-74's and Blind Bat Boxes. There were 365 flares
on BlindBat. Before I left, we moved the shop to the Bombdump. Not much
mechanican going on there.
I was then assigned to the F-111A/E at Nellis AFB. I was in the Weapons
Release section there. Our job was to troubleshoot ANY weapons problems on
the A/C. This related to Guns, Misssles, Rockets and Bombs. Then in 72 , we
went to Tahkli, TDY.
I got out of the Air Force in 75 at Hurlburt Field in Ft Walton
Beach........reunion city. I was a 46270 then and had a linenumber for E-6.
